About the position

Rajan Legal PC is seeking a seasoned Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant to join our general litigation practice group located in Kendall Park, New Jersey. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual looking to work on a variety of legal matters and utilize their skills across a range of case types. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role and will be responsible for providing essential support to our attorneys, ensuring they can effectively carry out their duties. In this role, you will be tasked with communicating with clients and adversaries, preparing case-specific documents such as demand letters, eviction complaints, and settlement agreements, as well as responding to written discovery and pleadings. It is crucial that you maintain and organize case-related documents, ensuring they are readily available for review. You will also be expected to provide general administrative support and maintain a minimum annual billable rate of 1500 hours. Collaboration with colleagues is key to achieving the best possible outcomes for our clients, and maintaining high standards of professionalism, ethics, and integrity in all interactions is essential. The position requires a detail-oriented and organized individual who can multitask and work well under pressure. Familiarity with legal procedures, terminology, and the court system is necessary, along with strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software is also required. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience as a Legal Assistant or similar role
  • Certification or diploma as a Paralegal is preferred
  • Familiarity with legal procedures, terminology, and the court system
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with document management experience
  • Excellent research skills
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office and case management software
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
