Responsibilities

• Enhance effectiveness by keeping cases organized, monitoring calendars, and providing timely reminders.
• Open files, close files, and assist with conflict checks.
• Handle incoming/outgoing mail and incoming/outgoing faxes.
• Transcribe electronic dictation.
• Prepare correspondence and pleadings.
• Perform electronic filing with both State and Federal court systems.
• Maintain all documents in the firm's document management system electronically.
• Enter attorney time into the firm's time and billing system.
• Maintain a good working rapport with clients.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a legal secretary or paralegal.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Adept at handling multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency in reporting and legal administrative tasks.
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Capability to efficiently schedule and manage appointments.
• Attention to detail and excellent typing and proofreading skills.
• Uphold confidentiality with professionalism and dependability.
• Proficiency in software applications like MS Word, Outlook, Adobe, and Excel.
