As a Paralegal, you will assist attorneys with all aspects of insurance defense and plaintiffs litigation. Your responsibilities will include recording billable time accurately, managing deadlines, and communicating effectively with clients to provide updates and gather necessary information. You will also be tasked with drafting legal documents, reviewing medical and phone records, and conducting social media searches relevant to case investigations. Proficiency in technology, including virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams, is essential for this role, as you will be required to participate in depositions and mediations remotely. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, the ability to self-manage time to meet strict deadlines, and effective communication skills, both written and verbal. You will be expected to work in the office five days a week, contributing to a collaborative team environment while also being capable of working independently. Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with all aspects of insurance defense and plaintiffs litigation.
  • Record billable time accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage workloads from multiple attorneys, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Communicate with clients via email and phone, providing updates and gathering necessary information.
  • Draft responses, correspondence, and other legal documents.
  • Review and obtain medical records, phone records, and other necessary documents.
  • Conduct social media searches relevant to case investigations.
  • Proficiently use technology including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other virtual platforms for depositions and mediations.
  • Calendar case deadlines and meetings accurately.
  • Take detailed notes during meetings and follow instructions precisely.
  • Self-manage time to meet strict deadlines.

Requirements

  • Paralegal certification required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an insurance defense paralegal.
  • High proficiency in technology, including virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams, etc.).
  • Experience with drafting legal documents and correspondence.
  • Strong ability to review and manage medical and phone records.
