Our client is seeking a permanent fulltime litigation paralegal to join their law firm in Chattanooga, TN. This role will support 6-9 attorneys for labor/employment and general corporate litigation matters. The position is onsite, not remote and not hybrid, which means the paralegal will be required to work from the office. The paralegal will play a crucial role in the legal team, assisting with various tasks that are essential for the smooth operation of litigation processes. The paralegal will be responsible for preparing and drafting various legal documents, correspondence, memos, and pleadings. They will manage the filing and recording of documents with the appropriate offices and courts, ensuring that all submissions are timely and accurate. Additionally, the paralegal will prepare case notebooks and deposition summaries, which are vital for trial preparation. Maintaining client documents and emails in client workspaces is another key responsibility, as is assisting in trial preparation by organizing discovery documents, preparing exhibits, and managing client files. Utilizing computer programs designed for case management will be essential, as the paralegal will oversee litigation support and information management systems, ensuring compliance with e-discovery rules and regulations. The role also involves managing document production processes, both hard copy and electronic, and assisting with the collection of materials, electronic data, and physical evidence. The paralegal will design and implement document review systems, tracking materials through the process, and manage the logistics of document production, ensuring that relevant documents and information are easily accessible. Furthermore, they will design and manage databases for case management, which is critical for maintaining organized and efficient workflows.
