About the position

Segal McCambridge, a national litigation firm, is seeking an experienced paralegal to join our Los Angeles office supporting a busy civil litigation team. This position offers exponential opportunity for someone looking to perform challenging work in a collaborative, team environment within a well-established, but growing organization. The position offers a flexible mix of in-office and remote work. The successful candidate will take ownership of files and work with the handling attorneys to complete all necessary litigation functions from pleadings through trial preparation. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience as a paralegal in a civil litigation setting, with experience handling California matters, including filing with state and federal courts. A strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and legal terminology is essential. The candidate should possess excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure. Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in drafting, editing, and proofreading documents is crucial. Proficiency with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Windows Applications, Internet search engines, and electronic court filing and service applications is required. The candidate must also be able to maintain confidentiality and possess strong interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with senior-level individuals both internally and externally. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload.
