About the position

The Paralegal Manager will oversee and elevate the national paralegal program for a prestigious AmLaw 100 firm, leading a diverse team of over 75 paralegals and assistants across multiple states. This role involves strategic leadership, operational excellence, and a commitment to fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the legal operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management for a nationally distributed paralegal team.
• Oversee workflow distribution and ensure optimal resource allocation across all offices.
• Drive diversity, equity, inclusion, and engagement within the workplace.
• Partner with Firm leadership and Office Administrators to enhance client service and operational efficiency.
• Develop and enhance paralegal programs, ensuring best practices in utilization and productivity.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience as a Paralegal Manager or similar role within an AmLaw law firm.
• Experience managing at least 50+ paralegals across multiple locations and practice specialties.
• Strong background in an AmLaw 100 firm.
• Proven track record of developing paralegal programs and ensuring best practices.
• Strong human resources skills, including recruiting, interviewing, and performance management.
• Solid understanding of legal processes, workflow management, and litigation support.
