About the position

Smith Hulsey Law is a leading personal injury law firm with offices in Gainesville, Winder, and Clarkesville, Georgia. We are currently expanding our team and are in search of a skilled Paralegal with experience in Personal Injury or Workers' Compensation. Our firm specializes in personal injury cases, including motor vehicle and tractor-trailer collisions, wrongful death, and workers' compensation claims. We are dedicated to providing top-notch service and achieving the best possible results for our clients. The ideal candidate will be an experienced paralegal who is ready to hit the ground running. If you have expertise in Workers' Compensation, you must be open to cross-training in Personal Injury law. This position requires a strong commitment to the firm’s values and a passion for helping clients navigate the complexities of personal injury and workers' compensation cases. As a paralegal at Smith Hulsey Law, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys and ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service. You will be responsible for managing case files, conducting legal research, drafting documents, and communicating with clients and other parties involved in the cases. This is an in-person role, and remote work is not available. We offer a competitive total compensation package ranging from $50,000 to $100,000+ per year, depending on experience. Responsibilities

  • Manage case files for personal injury and workers' compensation cases.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in cases.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for trials and hearings.
  • Maintain organized and accurate case files and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with legal procedures and deadlines.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Personal Injury or Workers' Compensation law.
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a background check if required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Strong self-motivation, time management, and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with legal research tools and software.
  • Familiarity with case management software.
