About The Position

The Paralegal in the Public Safety Division of the Minnesota Attorney General's Office plays a crucial role in supporting attorneys with state litigation and appellate cases, particularly those related to vehicle and licensing issues. Requirements

• Completion of formal paralegal coursework resulting in a program certificate, associate degree, or bachelor's degree, or two years of experience in a litigation setting as a paralegal or equivalent legal support position.
• Knowledge of court procedures, legal terminology, and legal document formatting.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage an active caseload.
• Excellent judgment, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Experience using electronic files and case management tools, particularly SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys in state litigation and appellate cases related to implied consent and vehicle licensing.
• Draft pleadings and assist with discovery processes.
