AmHeritage Land Transfer Services Co. is a small business in the legal sector located in Philadelphia, PA. Our boutique law firm specializes in Real Estate Transactions, Mergers & Acquisitions, Financing & Loans, and a full range of business matters. We handle sophisticated corporate and transactional business, loans, financing, real estate transactions, title insurance, settlements, and litigation. We are currently seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join our team as a Paralegal, with the opportunity to grow alongside our law firm and affiliated title agency as we expand. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate and/or transactional practice areas. This position requires a strong background in paralegal work, particularly in loan and real estate closings, as well as title insurance. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and preparing various legal documents, maintaining checklists for loans and transactions, and coordinating with clients and third parties to ensure smooth operations. Attention to detail, high-level organization, and drafting experience are essential for this role. As a Paralegal at our firm, you will work closely with our entrepreneurial attorneys and a diverse range of clients, including private equity managers, private lenders, investors, and other lawyers seeking corporate and real estate specialists. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain checklists for loans and other transactions.
  • Draft, prepare, and maintain loan documents.
  • Process title insurance company/agency documentation.
  • Draft initial drafts and revise corporate resolutions, loan documents, operating agreements, letters of intent, confidentiality agreements, purchase agreements, and more.
  • Perform entity formation, prepare operating agreements, and obtain EINs.
  • Coordinate UCC/lien searches and handle other matters related to business practice start-ups and acquisitions.
  • Communicate directly with clients to obtain necessary information and advise on the status of such matters.
  • Collaborate with supervising attorneys and clients to perform due diligence, including the collection and evaluation of due diligence materials in connection with business and real estate transactions.
  • Support attorneys in connection with the closing of transactions, including the preparation of exhibits and schedules as well as the coordination of other logistical matters.
  • Coordinate execution and delivery of signature pages and notarization of documents for closing and leases, as applicable.
  • Act as a liaison between attorneys and various third parties, including lenders, brokers, and clients.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience in real estate and/or transactional practice areas.
  • Associate's degree or paralegal certification required.
  • Strong drafting experience and meticulous attention to detail.
  • High level of organization and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (3 years required).
  • Ability to prioritize workflow, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with loan closings and/or title insurance work is highly preferred.
