As a Paralegal, you will be responsible for the preparation of deeds, ensuring they are accurate and legally sound. You will also prepare probate documents, utilizing your expertise to facilitate probate proceedings. Efficient client file management is crucial, as you will create and maintain organized client files. Additionally, you will handle appointment scheduling and client management, maintaining a reliable calendaring system and sending timely reminders to clients. Document recording is another key responsibility, requiring you to accurately and timely record documents with county recorders.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of Deeds: Create accurate and legally sound property deeds.
  • Preparation of Probate Documents: Utilize your expertise to prepare documents for probate proceedings.
  • Client File Management: Efficiently create and maintain organized client files.
  • Appointment Scheduling & Client Management: Schedule appointments with clients, maintain a reliable calendaring system, and send timely reminders.
  • Document Recording: Accurately and timely record documents with county recorders.

Requirements

  • Education: Associate degree or Paralegal Certification required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and Simplifile required.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Time Management: Ability to meet multiple deadlines under time constraints.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and effective multitasking skills.
  • Professionalism: High degree of professionalism and dependability.
  • Legal Experience: Preferred experience in real property, estate planning and/or probate.
  • Court Experience: Preferred experience in filing pleadings with King County Superior Court.
