About the position

Duane Morris LLP, a global law firm with over 800 attorneys, is seeking a Real Estate Paralegal to provide comprehensive legal support to assigned attorneys. This role involves handling various aspects of real estate law, including title and survey review, purchase and sale agreements, affordable housing documentation, closing documents, ground leases, and financing documentation. The paralegal will also be responsible for conducting due diligence and managing related real estate documentation for closings. In this hybrid position, the selected candidate will be required to work three days in the office, with flexibility to adjust the schedule based on the attorneys' needs. Essential functions include assisting attorneys with title and survey reviews, preparing signature blocks and pages, organizing files, and creating document indices and closing transcripts. The paralegal will also research and file Secretary of State documents related to entity formation and will coordinate documentation for affordable housing and other real estate transactions. Collaboration with title companies and surveyors to resolve title objections is also a key responsibility. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, the ability to manage detailed work accurately, and the capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. A team-oriented mindset and a strong desire to contribute to the firm's success are essential. Excellent typing, proofreading, and grammar skills are required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a law firm setting, with a focus on commercial real estate, affordable housing, or transactional work. Experience with iManage, an electronic document management system, is preferred.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation usage.
  • Experience with iManage (electronic document management system) preferred.
