The Sr. Paralegal will provide essential administrative and para-professional legal services that align with ADTRAN's departmental and organizational strategic goals. This role is pivotal in supporting the Legal and Contracts Department, where the paralegal will engage in various legal tasks, including the preparation of contracts, corporate documents, and correspondence. The position also involves contract management and addressing other legal matters that arise within the organization. Reporting directly to the Senior Corporate Counsel, the Sr. Paralegal will play a crucial role in ensuring that legal processes are efficient and effective, contributing to the overall success of the company. In this capacity, the Sr. Paralegal will support attorneys in the Legal and Contracts Department across a range of areas, including contracts, litigation, disputes, leasing matters, and potential corporate acquisitions. The paralegal will be responsible for managing corporate filings for all ADTRAN international entities and affiliates, ensuring compliance and good standing with legal requirements. This includes collaborating with outside counsel as necessary. Additionally, the role requires assisting in legal research as directed by attorneys, which is vital for informed decision-making and legal strategy. The Sr. Paralegal will also be tasked with brainstorming and implementing process improvements within the department, particularly concerning document storage and contract workflow. This proactive approach is essential for enhancing operational efficiency. Furthermore, the paralegal will assist in answering contract-related questions and researching contract history files to troubleshoot any contractual issues that may arise. Coordination of the contract review and signature process, along with related correspondence, is another critical responsibility of this role. General office support is also part of the job, which includes maintaining contract and legal files, preparing and managing legal case files for litigation and contract disputes, and undertaking other projects and assignments as needed to adapt to the evolving needs of the department and the company.
