About the position

The Paralegal Studies - Adjunct Professor position at Mt. Additionally, the adjunct professor will assist the Paralegal Program Coordinator with various administrative tasks related to ABA requirements, which may include providing practical assignments, quizzes, exams, and class discussions, administering required surveys, and maintaining accurate records of professional development activities. This position is part of a continuous recruitment effort to build a pool of qualified applicants for temporary assignments. Responsibilities

  • Teach PLGL courses according to the College's course outlines of record and ABA guidelines.
  • Participate in the timely assessment of student learning outcomes and program-level outcomes.

  • Provide practical assignments, quizzes, exams, and class discussions as required each term.
  • Administer required surveys and maintain records of professional development activities.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree or higher with 2 years of professional experience; or an associate's degree with 6 years of professional experience; or a California Community College credential valid for life authorizing service as an instructor in the appropriate discipline.
  • Commitment to the community college goals of providing quality programs and services for students with diverse abilities and interests.
  • Ability to work effectively and sensitively in a multicultural environment.

Benefits

  • $93 per hour based on lecture hour equivalent.
