About the position

Wiley is seeking a seasoned Paralegal specializing in technology, operations, and data privacy legal matters. This role involves providing support to the Technology, Operations, and Data Privacy Legal teams, ensuring compliance with legal standards across Wiley's global operations. The Paralegal will assist in transactional and regulatory support, manage documentation, and serve as a resource for various teams within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a legal contact/resource for Business, Technology, Operations, and Information Security teams.
• Review and negotiate contracts related to operations, procurement, and customer partnerships.
• Maintain and update legal template databases, intranet sites, and other legal resources.
• Create and maintain databases of global privacy and cybersecurity laws.
• Manage email requests and establish efficient routing processes for legal inquiries.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certification preferred or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of global privacy and data protection laws and regulations.
• Prior experience with negotiating standard terms and conditions and revising contracts.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
