Requirements

  • Completion of an associate or bachelor's degree program or paralegal certification program is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a paralegal or legal secretarial role in a legal, business, or education environment.
  • Ability to type accurately and efficiently using standard legal vocabulary and common word processing programs.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of personal software packages for clerical and administrative functions.
  • Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and manage a variety of activities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and finalize new state applications.
  • Prepare and finalize state and federal regulatory and compliance documents.
  • Handle copyright and trademark filing and maintenance.
  • Support corporate formation, maintenance, and governance.
  • Assist with complex business transactions and securities law compliance.
  • Manage litigation and provide contractual support.
  • Conduct electronic and paper research, and maintain file organization.
  • Administer the department docket and manage time-sensitive activities.
  • Prepare letters, memos, reports, and maintain the department calendar.
  • Coordinate compliance-related projects involving internal and external parties.
  • Develop positive relationships with individuals throughout the company.
  • Prepare, collate, and distribute specialized reports as requested by management.
  • Assist in research, analysis, and interpretation of data under management direction.
  • Maintain confidentiality on all sensitive information.
