About the position

Rainwater, Holt & Sexton, PA is looking to hire a full-time Paralegal to join us at our personal injury law office, specifically in our Litigation department. As a Litigation Paralegal, you work hand-in-hand with our attorneys, handling the day-to-day work for our litigation cases from inception to settlement in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Our Paralegals are drafting discovery, preparing for trial, and ensuring our clients and attorneys are happy. Your positive, can-do attitude makes you a joy to work with for both clients and staff alike. While you are organized and love the satisfaction of getting things done, you are also a people person and enjoy interacting with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and fellow staff throughout your workday. Though you are self-directed and able to work independently, you are also a team player who collaborates well with everyone at the firm to make things happen for our clients. You feel great about working for an ethical firm where customer service is a priority and you can feel good about helping people through difficult times in their lives.

Responsibilities

  • Work with attorneys on litigation cases from inception to settlement.
  • Draft discovery documents.
  • Prepare for trial.
  • Ensure client and attorney satisfaction.
  • Interact with clients, insurance adjusters, and medical providers.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a law firm as a Paralegal.
  • Experience with Personal Injury on Plaintiffs side or Defense side.
  • Excellent computer and typing skills.
  • Ability to maintain knowledge of law firm policies and procedures.
  • Attention to detail with ability to multi-task.
  • The urgency to provide above-and-beyond customer service.
