About the position

Our company is seeking a full-time personal injury Paralegal with a minimum of 2 years of legal experience. The ideal candidate will provide support in all aspects of case preparation and case management, demonstrating a strong interest in legal writing, excellent communication skills, and a keen attention to detail. This role is crucial in ensuring that our clients receive the best possible support and assistance throughout their legal journey. The Paralegal will be responsible for direct communication with clients, insurance providers, medical professionals, and attorneys, ensuring that all parties are informed and engaged in the process. In addition to client communication, the Paralegal will open client files, initiate insurance claims, draft medical summaries, and prepare demand letters. The role also involves drafting, proofreading, and formatting correspondence and legal documents, as well as uploading documents and maintaining organized digital case files. The Paralegal will assist attorneys with the drafting and filing of pleadings and will help prepare for trials by managing the attorney's calendar and ordering necessary records. This position requires a detail-oriented, responsible, and organized individual who can work both independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects with accuracy and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Direct communication with clients, insurance providers, medical professionals, and attorneys.
  • Open client files and initiate insurance claims.
  • Draft medical summaries and demand letters.
  • Draft, proofread, and format correspondence and legal documents.
  • Upload documents and organize and maintain digital case files.
  • Assist attorney with the drafting and filing of pleadings.
  • Assist attorney in the preparation for trial.
  • Manage attorney's calendar.
  • Order records and obtain outstanding balances and liens.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of legal experience required.
  • Associate's degree in paralegal studies, a paralegal certificate, or a Bachelor's degree in any field preferred.
  • Detail-oriented, responsible, and organized.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with accuracy and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Comfortable speaking on the phone.
  • Demonstrates the highest level of professionalism and customer service; ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
