About The Position
D.R. Horton, Inc., the largest homebuilder in the U.S., is seeking a Paralegal for their Corporate Legal Department. This position is crucial in supporting in-house counsel and managing various legal issues that arise within the company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough research on claims, gathering necessary information to defend or pursue litigation, and responding to subpoenas and garnishments. Additionally, the Paralegal will coordinate the collection of information between outside counsel and various business units, respond to requests from insurance carriers, and assist in documenting and updating both computer and paper files related to pending claims and lawsuits. The role also includes reviewing billing for the defense of claims, ensuring that all legal processes are handled efficiently and effectively.
