About the position

Vaco is partnered with a large, international company seeking a Corporate Paralegal to support their Legal Department. This role is essential in conducting legal research, preparing and reviewing documents, assisting in policy creation and revision, and handling various company forms. The Corporate Paralegal will be involved with patents, contracts, and purchasing agreements, ensuring that all legal documentation is accurate and compliant with regulations. This is a direct hire position located on-site in Los Angeles, near LAX, with a structured work schedule of Monday through Thursday in the office and the option to work from home on Fridays. The working hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, providing a balanced work-life environment. In this role, the Corporate Paralegal will collaborate closely with the General Counsel across various corporate practice areas. Responsibilities include aiding attorneys with litigation support tasks, maintaining communication with external counsel to update litigation logs and reserve data, and conducting thorough research on regulations, legal literature, court decisions, and other legal resources. The paralegal will also generate documents for corporate policy development and implementation, potentially draft and negotiate contracts, including confidentiality agreements and other contractual documents, and contribute to special projects and initiatives alongside the Legal team. Upholding strict confidentiality and exercising discretion in all matters is paramount, as is fulfilling other duties as directed by the General Counsel.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with and assist the General Counsel across corporate practice areas.
  • Aid attorneys with litigation support tasks.
  • Maintain communication with external counsel to update litigation logs and reserve data.
  • Conduct research on regulations, legal literature, court decisions, and other legal resources; provide analytical reports to attorneys.
  • Generate documents for corporate policy development and implementation.
  • Potentially draft and negotiate contracts, including confidentiality agreements and other contractual documents.
  • Contribute to special projects and initiatives alongside the Legal team.
  • Exercise discretion and uphold strict confidentiality.
  • Fulfill other duties as directed by the General Counsel.

Requirements

  • Paralegal certificate mandatory, along with at least five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
