About the position

Our top client's General Counsel is looking for a new paralegal to join their team. This paralegal will be there to support all Corporate Counsel team members, Procurement, Finance, Tax and Treasury, People Team and the leadership of most facilities groups. The ideal candidate will possess excellent drafting and writing skills, which are strongly preferred for this role. Candidates must also have a strong command of MS Excel and administrative software systems, including invoicing and cost reimbursement systems, Adobe Acrobat, and electronic contract management systems (ECMS) as necessary. This position is temp to perm, offering a competitive hourly wage of $26 - $30, with work hours from 8 AM to 5 PM on a first shift basis. The paralegal will be responsible for supporting attorneys in the Legal Transactions group in all types of transactional matters. This includes managing tracking and reporting processes, such as contract management systems, document management systems, and reporting on outside counsel matters and legal assignments. The role requires managing high volume processes, such as registering NDAs, intaking legal assignments, and overseeing outside counsel invoicing. With direction and oversight from attorneys, the paralegal will draft and negotiate contracts, review and support proposals, RFQs, LOIs, NDAs, and similar processes, perform post-execution contract reviews, and provide summaries while coordinating appropriate commercial and technical approvals. Additionally, the paralegal will assist with implementing Legal policies, corporate functions such as maintaining business registrations and formation records, and Legal operations including budgeting, data reporting, invoicing, management of Legal vendors, and supporting department projects. The role also involves contributing to Legal tools and resources, such as forms, playbooks, and policies, and coordinating the adoption of software systems and legal support tools. Mentorship and training of junior paralegal staff will also be part of the responsibilities. The essential functions of this role include working in a smoke-free environment.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 years of experience in a paralegal role
  • Excellent drafting and writing skills
  • Mastery of MS Excel and administrative software systems
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and electronic contract management systems (ECMS)
