We are seeking an experienced Paralegal with a minimum of 2 years in the legal field to join a well-established law firm in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. This position offers a unique opportunity for individuals looking to advance their legal careers and make a significant impact within a reputable firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to Shareholders and Attorneys, ensuring that all legal processes are handled efficiently and effectively. The role involves a variety of tasks including the creation and preparation of Excel documents, data input, and the use of simple formulas. The Paralegal will be tasked with typing pleadings, briefs, and correspondence, as well as proofreading documents to ensure accuracy. Proficiency in handling PDF documents is essential, as the position requires converting Word documents to PDF, extracting pages, and creating forms. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for tracking changes in Word documents, formatting, and printing. A significant part of the job will involve preparing and drafting legal documents and correspondence, filing pleadings with courts and administrative agencies, including e-filing. The Paralegal will also process new client matters, coordinate the opening of new files, and maintain client files meticulously. Other responsibilities include entering, reviewing, and correcting attorneys' time entries, preparing and submitting expense reports, scheduling client meetings, managing calendars, and making travel arrangements. The role requires organizing documents and files, preparing files for off-site storage, and maintaining logs for files sent off-site. The Paralegal will also provide coverage for the reception desk when needed, which includes answering phones and greeting clients. Collaboration with other assistants and staff is crucial to ensure a smooth workflow within the firm.
