About the position

Figure is seeking a dynamic and resourceful Paralegal to join its Legal Department. This role is crucial in supporting the company's fast-growing business by managing legal documents, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The Paralegal will report to the Senior Corporate Paralegal and will be involved in a range of legal activities, including contract management, corporate governance, and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, and provide commentary on a variety of legal documents, including NDAs, vendor contracts, and corporate documents.
  • Collaborate with teams across the business to support the drafting, review, and execution of legal documents.
  • Manage the contract lifecycle, including routing documents for signatures and cataloging executed contracts.
  • Oversee the maintenance of a legal filing system, managing the retention and organization of documents.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Legal Department and internal stakeholders, addressing questions and issues.
  • Support complex corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures, assisting with due diligence and KYC requests.
  • Assist with the management and administration of the company's subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Draft corporate governance documents, including resolutions and minutes.
  • Support periodic and ad hoc regulatory reporting and related internal processes.
  • Collaborate on company-wide initiatives and special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 5+ years of paralegal or related experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on managing time, documents, projects, and relationships.
  • Extreme attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Database management experience.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced growing company.
  • Self-starter mentality with the confidence to work independently.
