The Paralegal will support attorneys in handling medical malpractice cases by performing various legal and administrative tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to manage complex case files with accuracy and efficiency. The Paralegal will play a crucial role in ensuring that all aspects of case preparation and management are handled effectively, contributing to the overall success of the legal team. Key responsibilities include assisting attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions by organizing case files, drafting legal documents, and ensuring all necessary evidence is collected and reviewed. The Paralegal will conduct thorough legal research related to medical malpractice claims, including reviewing case law, statutes, and regulations to support case strategies. Document management is also a critical aspect of this role, as the Paralegal will draft, review, and file legal documents such as complaints, motions, and discovery requests, while maintaining and updating case files to ensure accuracy and organization. In addition to these tasks, the Paralegal will interact with clients to gather information, provide updates on case status, and answer general inquiries, all while maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion. Analyzing and summarizing medical records and other relevant documentation to identify critical information pertinent to the case is another important responsibility.
