Responsibilities

• Assist with taking cases from inception through trial
• Analyze documents
• Summarize deposition transcripts, medical records, and medical bills
• Draft standard correspondence and other legal documents
• Communicate with experts
• Prepare documents for expert review
• Maintain, review, and request medical records
• Draft medical chronologies
• Prepare and draft documents for e-filing
• Maintain and organize case files as needed
• Prepare attorneys for mediations, depositions, hearings, and trial
• Prepare trial documents, pleadings, and binders

Requirements

• Paralegal Certificate
• Experience with Medical Malpractice / Personal Injury Law
• Bachelor's degree (preferred)
• 3 years of experience in malpractice law (required)
• 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office (required)
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal court systems
• Familiarity with e-filing procedures
