About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Paralegal to assist in various aspects of legal work, including research, document preparation, and case management. This part-time, contract role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in relevant software. The Paralegal will play a crucial role in ensuring that our processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis to support projects.
• Manage documentation through project management software, ensuring all files are organized and accessible.
• Provide executive administrative support by preparing correspondence.
• Review and proofread documents for accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of materials needed for cases.
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining client files.
• Exhibit strong phone etiquette while communicating with clients and other parties.
• Collaborate on project management tasks to ensure deadlines are met and projects are completed efficiently.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a legal environment.
• Proficiency in case management software is preferred.
• Strong skills in research and document review with attention to detail.
• Excellent proofreading abilities to ensure the accuracy of all documents produced.
• Familiarity with Lexis-Nexis for effective research purposes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of organization.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on professional phone etiquette.
