About the position

ZRG Partners LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join their team. This role is crucial in managing and developing contracts with college and university clients, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. The Paralegal will provide essential administrative support to the Principals, streamline operations, and foster effective communication across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and analytical skills, along with a solid understanding of contract management.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and review legal documents, particularly contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
  • Communicate effectively with Registry Principals, clients, and external parties to gather necessary information for contract drafting.
  • Monitor and analyze changes in higher education laws and regulations, providing proactive legal support and ensuring ongoing compliance.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to Principals and clients, including schedule management and meeting coordination.
  • Maintain, organize, and update departmental files, records, and databases to ensure easy access and compliance with record-keeping policies.
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings, including logistics planning and preparation of materials.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for college/university clients, addressing inquiries and providing assistance.
  • Assist with data entry and maintain accuracy in client records and contract-related databases.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of contract management processes and tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a paralegal.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation, with a focus on contract management and compliance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding strong ethical standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field.
  • Paralegal certification; Certified Paralegal.
  • Experience in the Higher Education field.
  • Experience with database management systems such as Dynamics and Salesforce.
