The Paralegal position serves as a key member of the legal team, primarily supporting litigation matters and legal operations projects. The role involves assisting in-house attorneys in managing the company's litigation, which includes maintaining the litigation docket, issuing and tracking document preservation notices, and organizing and producing documents in connection with e-discovery. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and organization of both electronic and physical litigation documents, as well as assisting with the preparation and filing of court submissions. Additionally, the role requires the preparation and maintenance of engagement letters with outside counsel, assisting with settlements and periodic accruals, and providing general corporate assistance in collaboration with other corporate functions such as finance, credit, and accounts payable. The Paralegal will also assist with various projects, which may include legal research, investigations, audit requests, intellectual property matters, invoices, and mergers and acquisitions. General office assistance is also part of the role, which includes managing correspondence, expense reports, travel bookings, and organizing meetings. The candidate is expected to fully support the company's goal of continuous improvement by reviewing their area of responsibility for improvement opportunities. Teamwork is essential, as the Paralegal will assist and provide backup for other members of the department as needed.
