About the position

We seek a highly skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our dynamic law office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting our attorneys with various tasks, including conducting legal research, preparing documents, and assisting with trial preparation. The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of legal principles and procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. In this role, you will conduct legal research and analysis using a legal database to support attorneys in the preparation of cases. You will prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and other court filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Assisting with trial preparation will also be a key responsibility, which includes transcribing interviews, preparing exhibits, and organizing evidence. You will conduct interviews with clients and witnesses, taking detailed notes and summarizing information to support case development. Additionally, you will support attorneys with family law matters, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all legal documents and case files is essential. Collaboration with attorneys to review documents, identify issues, and recommend solutions will be part of your daily tasks. You will also engage in legal writing, providing exceptional customer service to clients by responding to inquiries and addressing concerns promptly and professionally.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in a law office or legal environment.
  • 2 years or more of Family law or Civil Litigation experience is a must!
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a must!
  • Proficiency in using MyCase is a plus.
  • Strong interview skills and the ability to transcribe conversations accurately.
  • Experience in preparing documents and supporting attorneys in trial preparation.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
