About the position

Connell Foley, a prominent commercial law firm located in Roseland, New Jersey, is seeking a paralegal with over 5 years of experience specifically in immigration law to join our Immigration and Global Mobility group. This position offers a unique opportunity to work as a family-based immigration paralegal within a cohesive immigration team in an established multi-practice firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing family-based petitions and applications submitted to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the Department of State (DOS). In this role, the paralegal will work directly with a partner to draft various petitions, including but not limited to I-130s, I-485s, I-131s, I-765s, K-1s, consular processing, N-400, and N-600s. The family practice is fast-paced and requires extensive client interaction, making strong communication skills essential. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in immigration law, demonstrating the ability to handle multiple cases efficiently and effectively. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred to better serve our diverse clientele.

Responsibilities

• Process family-based petitions and applications submitted to USCIS and DOS.
• Draft petitions including I-130s, I-485s, I-131s, I-765s, K-1s, consular processing, N-400, and N-600s.
• Interact extensively with clients to gather information and provide updates on case status.
• Collaborate directly with a partner on immigration cases.
• Maintain organized case files and documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience specifically in immigration law.
• Strong understanding of family-based immigration processes and procedures.
• Excellent drafting and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases effectively.
