About the position

As a Paralegal at Nestlé Purina, you will play a crucial role in managing and protecting the company's intellectual property assets. This position involves collaborating with the Global Brand IP organization to ensure compliance with legal standards and practices, while also providing guidance to business teams on trademark matters. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the strategic development and management of Purina's intellectual property portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Assist with global intellectual property enforcement matters, including research and evidence gathering for lawsuits, oppositions, cancellations, and other disputes.
• Provide guidance to Purina's business teams concerning Brand IP, including trademark search and clearance, trademark applications, trademark registration maintenance, and trademark usage.
• Manage Purina's global intellectual property docket and portfolio, including oversight of all deadlines and necessary filings related to prosecution, enforcement matters, and renewals.
• Stay updated on new legal department technology and best practices, assisting in the implementation and training of these tools.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED equivalent AND advanced degree or paralegal certificate.
• 3+ years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm and/or corporate legal department.
• Knowledge of Intellectual Property is preferred.
