About the position

Sacyr, a multinational infrastructure firm based in Madrid, Spain, is seeking a Corporate Paralegal to work in its U.S. headquarters in Miami, Florida. This position is crucial for providing legal support to the company's varied and growing operations in North America. The Corporate Paralegal will play a key role in assisting with corporate filings, organizing corporate records, and supporting the Contract Management department in the preparation of contractual claims. Additionally, the paralegal will track and manage litigation, interfacing with outside counsel and project teams to respond to discovery requests, and ensure compliance with garnishment orders. The role also involves supporting the Procurement Department in the negotiation and review of subcontracts, purchase orders, and other commercial agreements. The Corporate Paralegal will review proposals and procurement documents for compliance with established requirements, attend meetings with in-house counsel, and prepare minutes. Furthermore, the position requires assisting corporate and project teams with drafting key correspondence and providing administrative support for the Company's in-house counsel. The successful candidate must be organized, possess effective communication skills, be self-motivated, and work well in a team environment. They should be able to apply past experience while embracing new challenges and developing solutions to day-to-day problems using critical and creative thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with tracking, preparing, and submitting corporate filings
  • Assist with organizing corporate records
  • Support the Contract Management department in preparation of contractual claims
  • Track and provide support in managing litigation, including interfacing with outside counsel and project teams in responding to discovery requests

Requirements

  • Two to five years of relatable experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certification preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
