Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of complex personal injury cases, ensuring all documents, records, and evidence are prepared for trial.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, trial notebooks, and coordinating witness testimony.
  • Provide on-site support during trials as needed.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze case evidence such as medical records and accident reports.
  • Prepare and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
  • Draft correspondence and settlement agreements.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, keeping them informed and addressing inquiries.
  • Oversee the discovery process, including coordinating depositions and summarizing responses.
  • Ensure compliance with court rules and filing deadlines.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to handle cases efficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program is preferred.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience as a paralegal in personal injury law, with significant trial experience.
  • Strong knowledge of personal injury law, litigation procedures, and legal research.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in legal software and case management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours during trial periods.
