About the position

As an Experienced Paralegal at Outside Chief Legal LLC, you will play a crucial role in supporting our busy attorneys and other paralegals in protecting and promoting our clients and their businesses. You will also be responsible for filing legal documents in federal and state courts, gathering and analyzing research data, and summarizing medical records and deposition transcripts. Responsibilities

  • Work closely with attorneys to draft and finalize legal documents, including contracts and pleadings.
  • Conduct legal and general issues research to provide valuable insights for clients and cases.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, ensuring they feel valued and supported.
  • Manage schedules, coordinate meetings, and maintain case management systems to keep the office running smoothly.
  • Draft basic legal documents, pleadings, and discovery, preparing first drafts of legal forms.
  • File legal documents, including e-filing, in federal and state courts.
  • Gather and analyze research data, such as statutes, opinions, legal articles, codes, and documents.
  • Research and prepare non-party subpoenas and organize exhibits and medical records.
  • Summarize medical records and deposition transcripts, maintaining calendars and client files.
  • Prioritize client-related matters and correspond with clients on behalf of attorneys.
  • Track, capture, and record billable time, liaising with other team members and departments.
  • Answer the telephone and route or screen calls, assisting attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in a Paralegal role.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and document management systems.
  • Proficiency with local, state, and federal court procedures and documentation, including e-filing.
  • Litigation and trial experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Clio and transcription software products.
  • Familiarity with Mac/Apple products and OneDrive.
