The Paralegal position at Simon Property Group is designed to provide essential transactional support to the attorneys within the Legal Development department. The paralegal will be tasked with preparing research results summary memos and results matrices in collaboration with assigned attorneys and developers. This involves a thorough examination of restrictive covenants that govern land use and other critical aspects of real estate transactions. In addition to document analysis, the role requires the timely drafting and preparation of initial drafts of real estate documents, including purchase and sale agreements, ground leases, and closing documents. The paralegal will work closely with attorneys to ensure that all documents meet legal standards and are prepared in accordance with the necessary timelines. The position also involves managing title and survey matters, where the paralegal will review title encumbrances and assist in resolving any objections that arise during due diligence investigations. Furthermore, the paralegal will maintain the computerized file database and hard copy files, ensuring that all matters are opened, updated, and closed promptly. This includes tracking critical dates, reviewing invoices, and preparing various reports as requested by attorneys and other stakeholders.
