About the position

We are an expanding law firm with more than 25 years of experience representing injured individuals and families dealing with the death of a loved one. We are seeking a full-time Paralegal who will be responsible for supporting our attorneys from case intake through trial of our Plaintiff only civil litigation cases. Applicants should have compassion, patience, and experience in civil litigation with a personal injury focus. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the legal process, ensuring that all necessary documentation is prepared and organized efficiently to support our clients' cases. As a Paralegal, you will be tasked with preparing records, pleadings, and assembling exhibits. You will also conduct medical record analysis, summarize transcripts and medical records, and assist in pretrial and trial preparation. Your responsibilities will include drafting and responding to standard discovery requests such as interrogatories and requests to produce documents. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, TrialWorks case management software, and Adobe Acrobat is essential for this role. You will need to communicate professionally and politely, both orally and in writing, while demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail. The position requires the ability to multitask and manage a variety of demands daily. You must be able to work independently and be proactive in handling administrative duties, such as filing papers and maintaining schedules. Additionally, you may be asked to assist in special projects as needed and perform other duties as assigned. This role is vital to the success of our legal team and requires a dedicated individual who is committed to providing excellent support to our attorneys and clients.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Healthcare knowledge and experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Leadership skills.
