About the position

Looking for a paralegal to join our client in Anaheim, CA! This is a great opportunity to join a client in the government industry. The paralegal will handle litigation-related tasks and ensure the proper execution of legal proceedings. This role involves managing the process of ordering records from non-cooperative entities and liaising with third-party companies for subpoena orders. The paralegal will also be responsible for transmitting files and records productions using digital platforms similar to Dropbox, overseeing discovery processes, and ensuring timely responses to discovery requests. In addition, the paralegal will conduct various types of redactions on three main types of records: discovery responses, subpoena responses, and public records responses. Basic IT audio-visual support is also part of the job, which includes playing videos at trial and capturing screens during depositions. The paralegal must maintain familiarity with and comply with state and federal e-filing systems, as well as manage calendaring to ensure all deadlines and important dates are duly noted and met. Proficiency in handling subpoenas is required, along with knowledge in e-filing and calendaring. Candidates must hold a degree in Law or a related field, and prior experience as a paralegal or in a similar role is beneficial. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong research and report writing skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential for success in this position.
