About The Position
A multi-state creditors' rights law firm based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is seeking an experienced Senior Paralegal to support its growing practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are essential to the litigation process. This includes preparing and processing court pleadings and motions, reviewing accounts for accuracy and completeness, and corresponding with courts and garnishees. Additionally, the Senior Paralegal will be tasked with processing new accounts, which is crucial for maintaining the firm's operations. After completing a 90-day general legal support training period, the Senior Paralegal will take on more advanced responsibilities. This includes reviewing case files, preparing exhibits, scheduling hearings, and drafting basic motions and pre-trial statements. The role requires a high level of professionalism and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. The candidate must be organized, hardworking, and committed to learning the intricacies of a specialized field within law. The position is full-time, with a standard 8-hour shift from Monday to Friday, and it requires in-person attendance at the Grand Rapids office.
