About the position

Falk, Waas, Hernandez, Solomon, Mendlestein & Davis, P.A., a prominent insurance defense and medical malpractice defense firm, is seeking an experienced full-time insurance defense paralegal to join our team in Coral Gables, FL. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role and will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to attorneys in various legal matters. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively. As a paralegal, you will be tasked with preparing and drafting correspondence and pleadings, answering and propounding discovery, and issuing and following up on subpoenas. You will also be responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and confirming hearings, depositions, and mediations, as well as e-filing documents with state and federal courts. Your ability to take initiative and anticipate the needs of the attorneys will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our legal processes. The successful candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to understand and follow specific and detailed instructions in both oral and written form. Knowledge of state and federal court rules and e-filing procedures is essential, along with strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and document management applications, preferably Prolaw.
