About the position

The Personal Injury Plaintiffs Paralegal will provide essential support to attorneys specializing in personal injury cases. This role involves managing case files, conducting legal research, preparing documents, and ensuring compliance with legal standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills and a commitment to client service.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in managing a caseload of personal injury cases from intake to resolution.
• Conduct legal research on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law to support case strategy and preparation.
• Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.
• Communicate with clients, witnesses, and medical providers to gather information and provide updates on case progress.
• Assist in conducting factual investigations, including gathering evidence, obtaining medical records, and coordinating expert evaluations.
• Prepare trial notebooks, exhibit lists, and witness files for court proceedings.
• File legal documents with courts and administrative agencies in a timely manner, adhering to all procedural requirements.
• Record billable hours accurately and prepare invoices for clients.
• Perform various administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, maintaining case files, and managing correspondence.
• Ensure compliance with ethical standards, court rules, and deadlines.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of legal procedures and terminology.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in legal research and document preparation.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
