About the position

TD Bank is seeking a Corporate Paralegal to join our team in either our New York City or Stamford, CT offices. This position is integral to supporting the wholesale/capital markets business, specifically the TDCowen Special Situations Sales and Trading business and the Restricted Securities business. The Corporate Paralegal will be responsible for drafting trade documentation, handling aspects of trade settlement, and managing related administrative tasks. This role requires a high degree of integrity and sensitivity to handle confidential information, as well as strong analytical and organizational skills with close attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have paralegal experience at a law firm or in-house with a financial services company, and will be expected to support requests from management and traders, maintain and organize files, and assist with ad-hoc projects as needed. The Corporate Paralegal will work closely with other members of the Legal Group and directly with business groups and other support and control functions. This position is designed for a self-motivated, team-oriented individual who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to follow through on commitments. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook is required, and experience with contract drafting is a plus. The work environment is hybrid, allowing for both in-office and remote work, and the position is full-time, requiring 40 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills
