Wagstaff Law Firm is seeking a dedicated and articulate Paralegal to join our team in Denver, CO. This position is integral to our growing business, particularly in the area of mass tort litigation. As a Paralegal, you will have the opportunity to learn about the mass tort process while working alongside a team of professionals committed to providing exceptional service to our clients. The firm specializes in personal injury cases related to defective products and medications, and your role will involve supporting attorneys in various aspects of litigation. In this position, you will be responsible for preparing medical chronologies, reviewing legal documents, and assisting in the preparation of client and expert witness depositions. Maintaining positive contact with clients and ensuring confidentiality of client matters is paramount. You will also be tasked with keeping accurate time records and performing general paralegal duties as needed. Responsibilities

  • Prepare medical chronologies for cases
  • Review legal documents
  • Observe confidentiality of all clients and the Firm
  • Assist attorneys in deposition preparation
  • Assist in expert generation and preparation of expert report/discovery
  • Organize and maintain attorney trial documents, case notebooks, expert witness binders, and exhibit lists
  • Prepare correspondence and legal documents
  • Work with attorneys on case status updates
  • Collect case evidence and documentation
  • E-file in state and federal courts
  • Draft court pleadings of various types
  • Schedule and coordinate with defense, witnesses, experts, and clients on depositions
  • Monitor case calendars and court deadlines to meet deadlines
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of paralegal experience, preferably in mass tort
  • High school diploma required; Associate's degree or paralegal certificate preferred
  • Ability to proficiently read, write, and speak English
  • Knowledge of legal terminology, research, docketing, and electronic filings required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to prepare medical chronologies preferred
  • Document management experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with attorneys, supervisors, co-workers, subordinates, clients, and outside vendors
