About the position

We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Paralegal specializing in Elder Law to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will support attorneys by providing comprehensive legal assistance in matters related to elder law, including estate planning, probate, and Medicaid planning, ensuring our clients receive the highest quality of service.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with legal research and preparation of documents related to elder law cases.
• Draft and file legal documents including wills, trusts, and probate applications.
• Prepare and organize case files, ensuring all necessary documentation is in order.
• Conduct thorough legal research to support litigation and estate planning cases.
• Coordinate with clients and other professionals to gather necessary information and documentation for cases.
• Monitor deadlines and ensure timely filing of documents and responses to court.
• Support attorneys during hearings and trials, providing necessary documentation and exhibits.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on elder law preferred.
• Strong understanding of elder law, including probate, Medicaid planning, and estate planning.
• Proficient in legal research and document preparation.
• Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and legal professionals.
