About the position

The Paralegal at Hahn Legal Group will play a crucial role in supporting the legal team by managing case files, overseeing legal calendars, and ensuring effective communication with clients and attorneys. This hybrid position requires a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about client management and legal support.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the firm's legal calendar deadlines and case milestones
  • Manage legal appointments, court appearances, and tasks
  • Prioritize and organize case workload
  • Handle and triage client communications via phone and email
  • Maintain accurate client records in the firm's case management system
  • Organize and manage both physical and electronic client case files
  • Maintain and summarize case information and files for internal and client communication
  • Draft letters, reports, and documents using templates
  • Prepare legal documents for meetings, depositions, and hearings
  • Prepare discovery and responses for discovery demands
  • Assist attorneys with legal research
  • Conduct factual investigation and analysis of case issues
  • Support all phases of case preparation, including discovery and trial
  • Summarize discovery materials for efficient use during litigation
  • Prepare trial binders and coordinate trial exhibits
  • Draft basic discovery motions
  • Assist with the intake and onboarding of new client matters
  • Consistently and proactively update attorneys and the legal team on case status
  • Provide consistent and proactive updates to clients on case progress
  • Communicate effectively with clients, courts, couriers, and litigation support vendors
  • Collaborate with legal support staff to ensure smooth progression of cases through the litigation process

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal
  • Paralegal Degree required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Excellent written communication skills (consistent, detail-oriented, and professional)
  • Strong verbal communication skills (personable, customer service-oriented, and proactive)
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to follow established procedures and create organization where none exists
  • Ability to investigate information with empathy and a positive attitude
  • Excellent time management skills and an understanding of how to prioritize tasks effectively
