About the position

Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking an experienced Paralegal to work in the San Jose, CA area. This position is hybrid, allowing for a balance of work-from-home and in-office workdays. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, editing, and proofreading various legal documents such as correspondence, agreements, and pleadings. The role requires working closely with attorneys to ensure that litigation progresses efficiently in each case. This includes taking the initiative to keep team members updated on case statuses and promptly alerting attorneys to important client and case needs. Additionally, the paralegal will assist attorneys with discovery processes, including drafting discovery requests, managing depositions, and issuing subpoenas. The position also involves document review and analysis through various platforms, as well as managing electronic case files using a document management system (iManage) to ensure that information is organized and easily accessible. Preparing for trial is another critical aspect of this role, which includes compiling trial materials, coordinating witnesses, preparing and issuing trial subpoenas, managing exhibits, and attending trial as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, edit, and proofread various documents (correspondence, agreements, and pleadings).
  • Work with attorneys to keep litigation advancing in each case, including updating team members on the status of cases and alerting attorneys to important client and case needs.
  • Assist attorneys with discovery, including discovery requests, depositions, and issuing subpoenas.
  • Assist with document review and analysis through various platforms.
  • Manage electronic case files using a document management system (iManage) to ensure information is organized and easy to locate.
  • Prepare for trial, including compiling trial materials, coordinating witnesses, preparing and issuing trial subpoenas, managing exhibits, and attending trial.

Requirements

  • Valid Paralegal Certificate certification.
  • Experience with iManage or similar document management systems.
