About the position

We are seeking a dedicated Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the legal field and possess strong organizational skills to support attorneys in various practice areas. The Paralegal will play a crucial role in assisting attorneys with their legal work, ensuring that all necessary documentation is prepared and organized efficiently. This position requires a proactive individual who can handle multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. In this role, the Paralegal will conduct legal research on various topics including securities law, immigration law, family law, and tribal law regulations. They will assist in interviewing clients and witnesses to gather case information, transcribe legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings, and utilize legal databases such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis for case research. Additionally, the Paralegal will draft legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and motions, and maintain and organize case files in compliance with law office procedures. The position also involves assisting attorneys in trial preparation and court filings, making it essential for the candidate to be well-versed in legal processes and documentation.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Previous experience working as a Paralegal or in a legal environment is advantageous
  • Proficiency in using legal research tools like Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Knowledge of Tribal Law regulations is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
