About the position

Perdue Brandon Fielder Collins & Mott LLP is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join their Austin office. This full-time position involves supporting attorneys in civil litigation cases, managing case-related tasks, and ensuring efficient operation within a professional yet casual work environment. The firm is committed to quality and integrity, serving various governmental entities across multiple states.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with attorneys on civil litigation cases
  • Draft original answers and discovery requests
  • Draft motions and other pleadings as required
  • Calendar trial and pretrial deadlines
  • Manage attorney calendars and deadlines
  • E-file pleadings with various district courts
  • Coordinate mediations and depositions
  • Perform administrative duties related to cases

Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • Some college or recent graduate of a 2-year paralegal certificate program preferred
  • Minimum 4 years as a legal assistant
  • Outstanding computer skills including Windows 10, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with the E-file system
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to establish priorities and work independently
  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
