About the position

The Paralegal position at Spectrum Staffing Services involves providing comprehensive legal assistance to the Legal Department, focusing on managing all legal matters pertinent to the U.S. organization. The role requires the preparation and coordination of procedural documentation for various legal matters, which includes drafting transactional documents, license agreements, and employment law-related documents, as well as handling regulatory matters and contract management. The paralegal will assist attorneys in drafting, reviewing, editing, and negotiating contracts that are essential for the commercialization of the company's products, including GPO agreements, payer agreements, service agreements, and confidentiality agreements (CDAs). Additionally, the paralegal will be responsible for coordinating and expediting the review and execution of legal documents in collaboration with the company’s Group Legal team. The position also entails maintaining a tracking system for all contracts and agreements, ensuring that all legal documents are properly monitored and executed. The paralegal will assist the Finance department in tracking the payment of invoices in accordance with contract terms and will also keep track of external legal fees for payment. Furthermore, the role includes assisting in updating the appropriate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to legal matters. This position is crucial for ensuring that the legal department operates efficiently and effectively, supporting the overall legal framework of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provides legal assistance to the Legal Department in managing all legal matters pertaining to the U.S. organization.
  • Prepares and coordinates procedural documentation for general legal matters including drafting transactional documents, license agreements, employment law, regulatory matters, and contract management.
  • Assists attorney with the drafting, review, editing and negotiation of contracts related to the commercialization of the company's products (GPO agreements and/or payer agreements), service agreements, CDAs, employment law and regulatory matters.
  • Coordinates and expedites the review and execution of legal documents with the company Group Legal.
  • Maintains a tracking system for all contracts and agreements.
  • Assists the Finance department in tracking payment of invoices vs. contract terms and tracks external legal fees for payment.
  • Assists in updating appropriate HTU SOPs.

Requirements

  • U.S. Paralegal certification is preferred.
  • 3-4 years of either paralegal, Contract Administration or legal department administrative experience required.
  • Prior Contracts Management experience.
  • Ability to work in an international environment, with experience in a multinational corporation preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • MS Office suite proficiency.
  • Pharmaceutical or Bio-tech experience highly desirable but not required.
