About the position

Matthiesen, Wickert & Lehrer, S.C., a growing national subrogation and litigation firm, is seeking a reliable and proactive Paralegal to join our rapidly growing team at our Austin, TX office. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and comfortable with handling multiple projects simultaneously. This position involves providing essential legal support to attorneys by conducting thorough research, organizing files, and maintaining law office records for various files, cases, and clients. Additionally, the Paralegal will be responsible for managing pre-suit subrogation cases on a nationwide scale. Strong communication skills are crucial, as this role requires close interaction with counsel and clients across the country. The successful candidate will have experience in civil litigation, particularly in reviewing insurance claims files and preparing damages support for property losses. The role demands an Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies or equivalent certification, along with a solid understanding of Federal and State Court civil procedures. Experience in mediation preparation for property damage and defense medical records is highly desirable. The candidate must be adept at meeting deadlines, possess a strong attention to detail, and be capable of multitasking and working overtime when necessary. A team-oriented mindset is essential, as no task is too small or unimportant when contributing to project success. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and familiarity with document/case management and timekeeping software, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Share File, and PACER is a strong plus.

Responsibilities
