About the position

TD Securities is seeking a Corporate Paralegal to join our team in either our New York City or Stamford, CT offices. This position is integral to supporting the wholesale/capital markets business, specifically the TDCowen Special Situations Sales and Trading business and the Restricted Securities business. The Corporate Paralegal will provide essential support to other members of the Legal Group as well as directly to business groups and other support and control functions. The ideal candidate will possess paralegal experience from a law firm or in-house legal department within a financial services company. In this role, the Corporate Paralegal will be responsible for drafting trade documentation and managing various aspects of trade settlement, which includes handling related administrative tasks. The position requires the handling of confidential documents and correspondence, supporting requests from management and traders, maintaining and organizing files, and assisting with ad-hoc projects as needed. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high degree of integrity and sensitivity in managing confidential information, alongside strong analytical and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail. The Corporate Paralegal will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. The candidate should be self-motivated, team-oriented, proactive, and demonstrate initiative. Experience with contract drafting is a plus, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook is required. This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for both in-office and remote work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Ability to prioritize and be flexible in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
