About the position

Milber, Makris, Plousadis & Seiden, LLP, a regional defense firm, is seeking a motivated full-time paralegal for its growing practice in Berwyn, Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of legal experience and will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support the legal team. A bachelor's degree or a paralegal certificate from an accredited institution is preferred. The role requires a strong proficiency in computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, as well as excellent typing and grammar skills. The paralegal will be expected to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and should have a basic understanding of legal terminology and procedures. The paralegal will play a crucial role in reviewing incoming case assignments and claim documents, ensuring that all necessary information is accurately processed and communicated. This includes data entry into the document management system, preparing correspondence, and coordinating with support services, opposing law firms, and courts. The position also involves drafting various legal documents for review and use by attorneys, such as discovery demands and responses, notices, affidavits, subpoenas, and other routine legal documents. Additionally, the paralegal will be responsible for motion preparation, document productions and redactions, and the preparation of witness/exhibit lists and trial binders. The role requires the retention of expert witnesses, preparation of expert indexes, and production of records, as well as e-filing and e-service in both State and Federal Courts. Calendar management for the assigned caseload and additional administrative duties will also be part of the paralegal's responsibilities. This position offers a competitive salary and is a full-time, in-person role.

Requirements
